mTrak vehicle tracking system | Vectone Mobile

Vectone Mobile are an MNVO who use the EE (Everything Everywhere) network, formed by the merger of Orange and T-Mobile.

Vectone SIMs work well on mTrak vehicle tracking devices They are the only SIMs working on an 1800 MHz network that enable the credit to be seen on the mTrak website, and on texts from the mTrak units. Updates to the internet cost around 0.1p each, but are also free for a month after each top-up. Texts are 10p each.

Network text:-
Network:webuk.mundio.com,,,*101#

Vectone SIMs can be topped up on the Vectone Mobile website. They can also be topped up with a voucher as follows:-

  1. Buy a Vectone Mobile top-up voucher>
  2. Send at text to the tracking unit that says:-
    Network:webuk.mundio.com,,,*101*nnnnnnnnnn#
where nnnnnnnnnn is the 10-digit activation code from the Vectone Mobile voucher
  3. Wait for the mTrak website to stop showing the credit for your mTrak unit
  4. Send the standard Network text

The top-up will happen soon after you have sent the text with the activation code. The items 3 & 4 can be done any time afterwards and they are only needed to get the mTrak website and texts to show the credit. All other functionality is unaffected.

mTrak versions earlier than 2.24 or 3.304 cannot be topped up like this. They will also show the Vectone credit incorrectly (£4.16 will be shown as somewhere between £4.60 and £4.69). You can return the mTrak units to us for a free firmware upgrade.

Note. Although "webuk.mundio.com" is what is suggested on the Vectone Mobile website as the APN, we have found that any text works. The mTrak units need at least 1 character as the APN to indicate that there internet access is available.
